This evolution reflects the city’s dynamic growth as a global hub for art, design, and creativity, expanding its reach to include showrooms, galleries, and studios across LA’s diverse neighborhoods. Design Los Angeles will produce Legends, marking its 15th year in 2025, taking place May 5-8, a 4-day celebration of Los Angeles’ creative spirit. This year, Design Los Angeles will partner with sponsors and brands to support rebuilding efforts for homes, businesses, and communities affected by the devastating wildfires. It will celebrate design’s ability to inspire and heal with a renewed focus on giving back to the people of Los Angeles.

Elizabeth East, Director L.A. Louver View of the gallery space and their current 50th Anniversary exhibition
Elizabeth East has been a director of L.A. Louver for over 25 years. Elizabeth received a Masters in Art History and Theory from Goldsmith’s University of London and was previously director at Hollis Taggart Galleries, New York and Washington, D.C.
L.A. Louver, located in Venice, CA, is one of the longest-established art galleries on the West Coast, founded in 1975 to contextualize southern California and international artists in a distinguished exhibition environment. In addition to contemporary artists, L.A. Louver represents a number of artist estates and for over two decades operated a program to showcase underrepresented L.A.-area artists, called "Rogue Wave."
Thomas Kelly, Director of Sean Kelly Gallery and their current solo exhibition with artist Zipora Fried
Thomas Kelly is a director and partner of Sean Kelly Gallery. He joined the gallery in New York in 2012, and moved to Los Angeles in 2022 to open Sean Kelly’s LA outpost. Since the gallery’s opening in LA, Thomas has helped introduce several gallery artists to a West Coast audience, exhibiting artists such as Julian Charrière, Jose Dávila, Shahzia Sikander, Janaina Tschäpe, and Wu Chi-Tsung.
Since its inception in 1991, Sean Kelly Gallery has been internationally regarded for its diverse, intellectually driven program and a highly regarded roster of artists. The gallery has garnered international attention for its high caliber exhibition program and collaboration with many of the most significant cultural institutions around the world. Over the course of more than thirty years, the Gallery has become a symbol for high quality, thought-provoking contemporary art.
Rebecca Campbell, artist, L.A. Louver
Born and raised in Utah, Rebecca Campbell received her MFA at UCLA, and continues to live and work in Los Angeles, making art in a variety of media including sculpture, installation, video and performance. Best known for her painting virtuosity, Campbell creates beguiling, surrealistic and thought provoking narrative compositions inspired by childhood memories, family, nature and our contemporary world. Campbell is represented by L.A. Louver.

Brian Rochefort, artist, Sean Kelly
Brian Rochefort is a Los Angeles based, mixed-media sculptor whose work expands upon more traditional techniques to produce objects which suggest otherworldly landscapes through their vibrant forms and textures. Rochefort’s abstract organic forms, rich in textural patterns and vibrant shifts in hues, challenge the technical confines of traditional ceramics. Throughout Rochefort’s oeuvre, each unique sculpture reflects a profound connection to the natural world. With a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, 2007 Rochefort’s work is represented by Sean Kelly Gallery and has been featured in numerous museum exhibitions.
Fatemeh Burnes, artist
Fatemeh Burnes is a visual artist, educator, curator and activist based in Los Angeles, received her BFA and MFA, and did additional graduate studies in art history and exhibition design. Burnes exhibits nationally and internationally and since 1992, she has curated over 100 exhibitions, authored numerous publications, and conducted art education documentaries, juried national exhibitions, and has given many talks and participated in several video documentaries. Her most current work has taken an autobiographical turn, addressing her experience as an immigrant and a woman.

We also had the pleasure of providing beautifully suited artworks by Ray Roberts (courtesy of American Legacy Fine Arts) and Sharon Weaver for the inspired Grand Room by Peltier Interiors.
It's exciting to see the way those plein air works complement the overall curation of the space and interact with the surrounding gardens.
